Good Morning America Features Handspun Hope!
We are honored to share that Handspun Hope was featured on Good Morning America this morning, August 5, as part of a beautiful segment exploring Rwanda’s iconic mountain gorillas and the power of eco-tourism to bring lasting change to local communities.
The segment focused on how conservation initiatives and tourism are fostering sustainable development and creating respectable jobs throughout Rwanda, in addition to safeguarding endangered animals. The GMA crew visited our campus in northern Rwanda as part of a feature to observe firsthand how our work empowers women to create more fulfilling careers.
One of our artisans, Josephine, was highlighted in the piece, sharing how her life has been transformed through her work at Handspun Hope. Her story is a powerful reminder of how interconnected we are and how tourism and conscious consumerism can have a lasting, positive impact.
We are so grateful to the GMA team for helping share this story of resilience, conservation, and hope. If you missed the segment, you can watch it here!
