Currently, 626 Rwandans, including 209 artisans and their families, depend on the recurring salaries, mental health counseling, healthcare and other holistic programs offered through dignified employment at Handspun Hope.
That means 626 people like us who, before earning recurring, salaried wages, did not know where their next meal would come from.
626 people who now have a roof over their heads and access to affordable healthcare.

Introducing the Circle
"The Circle” is our new designated community of partners in hope who are committed to bringing about sustainable, holistic transformation for women in Rwanda through a pledged monthly gift.
The Circle is formed by a collective of hope bringers who believe in the strength of sustained support. We understand that small, consistent contributions can lead to monumental changes. By becoming a recurring partner in hope, you become a reliable source of empowerment, providing stability and enabling long-term growth.
$175 monthly is all it takes to cover all employment expenses associated with employing one woman.
Our goal is to see the equivalent* of 30 additional women sponsored by year-end.
The Power of Recurring Giving
All gifts are valuable in sustaining our mission, and we are deeply grateful for all who have walked with us in many ways over the last 16 years. There is a unique benefit, however, that comes from recurring giving. Ongoing donations provide a stable foundation for our initiatives, as they’re a reliable source of support for implementing projects that make a lasting impact. Your ongoing gift secures salaries for the women. Knowing our committed expenses are covered frees us up to dream of more holistic opportunities to walk alongside the women of Handspun Hope.
How to Get Involved this Giving Season
1. Become a member of The Circle.
Your monthly commitment assures a steady income stream to fuel our mission. For just $175 per month, you guarantee a salary, trauma counseling, health care and all other employment-related expenses for an at-risk woman in Rwanda.
Make a recurring contribution of $50 or more on Giving Tuesday, and you’ll receive a FREE Holy Family. This precious gift is a collectible part of The Hope Nativity set. The women who made it were paid with fair wages made possible by other members of The Circle, like you!
Existing members of The Circle will also receive a free Holy Family when they increase their donation to a minimum of $175 per month.
2. Spread the Word.
Share our mission with your friends, family, and colleagues. Encourage them to join you in supporting our cause and becoming monthly sponsors.
Tip: Come together with five other members of your community to collectively sponsor a woman for $175! That’s only $35 monthly per person.
3. confirm Matching Gifts.
Check if your employer offers a matching gift program. Your donation could have twice the impact, doubling the number of women empowered. You can apply company matches directly through our online giving platform when donating.

To promote unity and ensure job security for all women, your monthly gift is contributed to a general fund that is distributed evenly.
